So canning season is here. I have already done my applesauce and now I’m going to move on to my peaches and pears. I mother and father were very gracious to pick me peaches and pears at an orchard near Boise since I am all the way over in Jackson and couldn’t get over there. Thank you mom and dad!! Then my cousin drove them to Rexburg on his way back to school for me. Well, I have waited a week for these things to get ripe and they are almost there. So I think I’m going to try a batch of peaches today and see how it goes but I might have to wait another day. Here is a picture of all my fruit to can. Ilove the aroma that I smell from these. They smell delicious!

I’m hoping to get two years worth of pears and a years worth of peach canned. I did two years worth of peaches last year so I have one year left. So my reasoning for this is because if something happens in June, July, August right before canning season and I can’t can that year I still have a years worth of fruit canned. Smart thinking I would say!

Sunday we decided to do a little craft to take up some time. I went online and found some color, cut, and glue projects that would be fun. We decided that Kaden really does not like to color. He would rather have someone else color or just watch us color ours. He does like to cut and glue though. So once we finally got him to finish coloring, which was a chore, he cut and glued. These are our finished products. It was fun!

This last weekend we went to Bear Lake with Blake’s extended family for our annual boating trip. Blake and Kaden had a ton of fun. I on the other hand was stuck with a headache and awful tooth ache the whole time. We were out on the lake from 10am to 7pm straight. Kaden played a ton on the sand and water with his cousins and we also put him on the tube behind the boat. He loved it. Here are some pictures.

Well, for anyone who does not know yet… I’m pregnant! I am almost 2 1/2 months along and am due at the end of March around my birthday. Yes, another March baby. That will make five in March. My mom, dad, brother, me and this one. Crazy huh?!
Kaden is continuing to grow. He spent two weeks with grandma in Boise. He was able to take turns visiting both Great Grandma Grow and Grandma giving mom a break. It started with them taking him while I went to girls camp. Then I convinced them to take him for another week so I could relax. This pregnancy is making me so tired. I just want to sleep all day. So it was so nice to have the house to myself for a week without Kaden. It has been nice to have him back though.
Blake continues to work and work and work. He is trying to figure out how to less his load because it is too much to where Kaden said the other day, “Daddy doesn’t want to stay home, he just wants to go to work.” So something has to change, we’ll see if he can do it.
Last night was a nice enjoyable evening with Kaden. Blake was working late at the Counseling Center until after 8:00pm so Kaden and I went for a walk, came home played with sidewalk chalk drawing pictures of kittys and suns, and grass. Then we laid in the hammock and looked and the different colors around us and read some books until dad came home.

For father's day weekend there was a father/son campout for church, so Blake and Kaden went on that while I stayed home and should have done something fun for myself but instead baked cookies all night for the father's at church for Father's Day. Anyway, I told Blake that he needed to take Kaden for the night again so I can go do something fun instead of bake 100+ cookies. Here is a picture from the campout that I really liked.

So on Father's Day, I got Blake two books on hikes. One for hikes in Yellowstone and the other around Jackson, because he wants to continue a tradition that he had with his dad on Father's Day which was to go on a hike. I don't really like to hike a whole lot but I agreed to at least a once a year hike. So I got these books so we could find a nice easy hike that day. It was a .9 mile hike up hill to a overlook of a lake. It wasn't as bad as I thought, so I might be willing to try another one in the same year! But it was also the shortest one in the book so I don't know. The next hike might put me out for the rest of the year. Although, I loved the gorgeous nature that was so green. The overlook was beautiful too. It is called Phelps Lake. So anyone who comes to visit and wants to go on a little hike. I'll take you there. Kaden loved the hike too. But he got it easy. Daddy carried him in his pack the whole way. We tried to get him out and walk the last little bit back to the car but he refused to walk and wanted back in. He was like "nice try parents, I ain't walking when I can ride." It also started raining on the way up the hill so we busted out the umbrella for Kaden. There are pictures below:

So for Memorial Day we decided to go take a drive into the mountains and have a picnic. As we were driving we saw four female elk. Then we found a spot to eat and went on a little hike exploring and Kaden did awesome. It was a pretty steep hillside and he walked down it and then almost all the way back up. What a trooper. Then Blake wittled away on a stick while Kaden played in the dirt. I love living in Jackson. It is so beautiful here and so much wildlife.
This is a beautiful view of the Tetons. This is where I live!! I get to see this everyday I'm out running errands. This spot we are at is only about 10 or 15 min. away from our house. Isn't that awesome!!! We see wildlife all the time. Deer, elk, moose, buffalo, and other smaller animals. Although, it is very weird to live in a tourist town when it is tourist season. As I drive through town square and see all the people walking around I think to myself "All these people are coming here to visit because it is a beautiful place and an awesome vacation spot... and I am living here?!!! Crazy!
